Updates and Name Changes to BostonStageNotes!
Greetings dear Reader! This is James Wilkinson, founder and contributor to RabbitReviewsBoston.com
You may have noticed that the blog has been radio silent for a while. Well, I’ve been (finally) taking some much-needed vacations and Summer tends to be a more quiet time on the Boston theater scene anyway.
Thankfully, that’s going to be changing in the coming weeks as the new theater seasons begin, and my calendar starts to fill up. However, before we get going, I decided the time has come to take care of some housekeeping that’s been nagging at me for a while. Namely, the title of this blog.
When I started RabbitReviewsBoston, the title was meant to be something of a joke. I had planned on having Rabbit be something of a persona through which the reviews were written and maybe create some kind of cartoon character for a logo. However, here we are, just under two years into the project and those ideas never came to fruition. It’s also gotten difficult to promote the blog at industry events as saying the title always leads to awkward conversations of who “Rabbit” is and what that has to do with anything to do with me or Boston theater.
After much consideration, I’ve decided that the time has come to start a new. Beginning this upcoming weekend, the blog will continue to operate under its new name: BostonStageNotes.com. (You’ll notice that if you type in this URL now, it’ll bring you to the RabbitReviewsBoston homepage.) All of the old content will still be there and I’ll still be posting reviews as I write them. This is merely cosmetic.
So, don’t be confused or alarmed when the name changes next week. It’s the same old me and the same old site.
Also (shameless plug), if you want to stay up to date with new reviews as they’re posted, I now have a mailing list that you can sign up for! As content can be sent straight to your inbox as it’s posted. You can sign up for that mailing list HERE.
That’s all for now. I’ll see you at the theater….
